Buoy is now in Solid

Updated October 20, 2026

Buoy is now in Solid. It is in beta. Add one Vite plugin and one tag, then sign in.

Start in three steps

Install Buoy in your app folder:

npm install --save-dev @buoy-gg/core @buoy-gg/solid @buoy-gg/network

Add buoy() to your Vite plugins, after solid(). Put <Buoy /> in your router's root. Then run npx buoy login.

Add a tool later, and it shows up when you restart the dev server.

Buoy finds your tools

The plugin finds the tools you installed. It adds an early hook, so Network sees the first web call.

It links Solid Router and Solid Query when you have them. Routes shows your route names. Query shows your cache.

Prod builds leave Buoy out.

Solid stores and renders

Pass your Solid stores and signals to Buoy. You can read and edit them in the Zustand tool.

Highlight boxes the parts of your page that changed. It names the component you wrote. It works next to solid-devtools.

Redux Toolkit and Jotai work too.

Beta notes

Buoy runs in Solid 1.9 apps built with Vite. It runs in SolidStart 2 too.

Solid 2 is not supported yet. In a Solid 2 app, Buoy stays off and says why. Your app still runs.

To set it up with an AI coding agent, start at Start here in the Solid guide, or open buoy.gg/install-solid.md.

Try Buoy in your Solid app.

Read the Solid guide, then run:

npm install --save-dev @buoy-gg/solid
